Brand Director - Sports Crate

Loot Crate was founded in 2012 around a simple idea: put the awesomeness of Comic-Con in a box. The Brand Director will be a leader on the Crate (subscription box) management team, who manages the product direction and “cross functional team” (*including: Marketing, Merchandising, Procurement, Design, Development/Engineering, Operations, Customer Support, and Finance) through the Crate recurring life cycle from conceptualization through business development, launch, fulfillment, and post mortem analysis. You will be responsible for bringing together all these moving parts into a world-class customer experience.  The Brand Director will manage the business’s P&L.

You will have a pivotal role in the curation of each individual Crate's thematic product assortment to include a mix of unique, exclusive and proprietary items across a range of relevant categories.  This includes the development of our own products (e.g. figurines, t-shirts, home goods, etc.) so an understanding of the product development process is necessary.  This will also include working closely with existing MLB partners to identify items that will delight subscribers and assist in the identification, curation and financial negotiation of those items.

The Brand Director will develop a thorough understanding of our customer profile and should have a deep passion for baseball and knowledge of its demographic.  You will work with specialists on the cross functional team to build a distinctive targeted customer profile for each team crate and will develop a marketing/communications strategy, in line with the P&L, that achieves our financial and marketing goals.

You will manage the ongoing relationships with IP owner, broadcast partners, MLB league officials, corporate sponsors and MLB licensees. These relationships will be leveraged to acquire additional licensing rights, develop compelling product and promotions that allow the business to meet the financial objectives.

In conjunction with the team Project Manager, you will facilitate moving the team through the Crate development/management process ultimately delivering a consistently “awesome” product and experience on time and on schedule.
